Vehicle to Grid (V2G)
V2G means using plug-in hybrid cars as a giant battery for the power grid. Assume there were lots of plug-in hybrids. Most cars are parked most of the time. If they were hooked to the power grid via a computer interface, the power grid could charge them up when power was cheap and available (like late at night) and draw power from all those batteries during times of high demand (paying the car owners a fee). Of course, it would have to make sure the car was not drained of power too much. It's a clever idea - much of the cost and pollution from power generation occurs during peak demand times.
