Folk Songs About Elections

Election day in the US is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. In other words, it's the first Tuesday unless that falls on the first, in which it is put back a week. Can't have an election the day after Halloween, it seems. Elections are held on other days, too, but this is the main one.
