King Kamehameha (d. 1819) united all the Hawaiian islands and founded a dynasty that lasted until the United States took over Hawaii. His name is pronounced kuh-may-ha-may-ha. There are, of course, many Hawaiian songs - these are just some of my favorites. Many feature the ukulele, slack key guitar, or Hawaiian steel guitar.
