The Stone Poneys (early Linda Ronstadt) would probably sit well on a Universe show with the song "Orion." Other constellations in the song: Gemini (as Pollux & Castor), the Pleiades (as Seven Sisters).
The Holy Modal Rounders recorded (humorous) "Mister Spaceman" on their eponymous first LP (on both Fantasy and Prestige labels) -- also now on Fantasy CD titled "Holy Modal Rounders 1 & 2."
Sun Ra & His Intergalactic Solar Arkestra did "We Travel the Spaceways" though I have not heard this...there may well be other Sun Ra material to draw from.
