Cris Williamson "John Deere Tractor" Cd: Radio Quiet (Wolf Moon Records) Peppertown "Tractor Wreckin' Blues" Cd: Firefly Fred Eaglesmith - "John Deere" and "Sunflowers" Dennis Doyle - "Old Tractor" She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy (Kenny Chesney) One More Last Chance (Vince Gill) (contains the line "...but she forgot about my old John Deere") John Deere Green (Joe Diffie) "Combine Harvester" (parody of "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates -- you've got a brand new key") by the Brit novelty band, The Wurzels, though I think it may have been covered by the Irish Rovers back in the 70's. For something different, you could try "My (or Me ...) Beaut Little Fergie Tractor" written by Peter Pentland and recorded by him and a number of other Australian performers. You might have fun translating the Australian vernacular, though. Stan Rogers "The Field Behind the Plow" from the Home in Halifax CD. The best love song to a tractor is "Sweet Allis Chalmers" by Country Gazette. How about "The Dirty Ol' Tractor Song" by Little Miss Higgins, from her album Junction City? I guess Larry Sparks has the classic version of "John Deere Tractor" Larry Sparks had a John Deere Tractor song, but so did Don Walser. Totally different songs. This is a longshot, but I remember a song (can't recall the artist), and I think it was from the soundtrack of Robert Altman's movie, "Nashville," called "Tapedeck in His Tractor." There's a great country song (I think it's Kenny Chesney) called "John Deere Green": Sweet Allis Chalmers - Country Gazette American Farmer/My Old Tractor - Jim Varsos
