Vegetarian Restaurants in Cornwall

Most English restaurants are friendly to vegetarians, with a few veggie entrees at almost every one. There must be a higher percentage of vegetarians there. We visited Cornwall in the summer of 1998 and stayed in Penzance and found two completely vegetarian restuarants there.   We stayed at the B&B that houses the Bean Inn in Carbis Bay (Cornwall) last May and enjoyed some great meals there. (AP)
  Hi, just wanted to let you know about my new vegetarian restaurant and cafe in St. Ives, Cornwall. Its called The Bean Inn. There is an online sample menu. Open for lunch, evening meals, bring your own wine. (PR)
• Dandelion, 39a Causeway Head, Penzance
  Pleasant and humble little place on this street of second hand stores and such. Open for breakfast and lunch only. They have jacket potatoes, pizza, quiche, lasagne and specials of the day. Nice enough food. Try an elderflower cordial with your meal. (RG)
• Archie Brown's, Bread Street, Penzance
  Open for lunch only. The ground floor serves tea and cakes - the real restaurant is downstairs. I had a nice aubergine, pepper and courgette tart here. Lots of arts and crafts to look over too. (RG)
• The Acorn (theatre and arts centre), Parade Street, Penzance
  The Acorn is an arts centre with an excellent & cheap veggie/vegan cafe downstairs from 10 - 4 Monday to Fridays. (MS)
• The Cafe, Island Square, St. Ives
  There is a vegetarian restaurant in St. Ives, though it's pretty much hidden away in the alleys off the harbour. I think you would like it: The Cafe Island Square Tel: 01736 793621 Open daytime and evening, licensed. (CO)
• Feasts, There is a very nice vegetarian cafe (lunches only) in Truro Cornwall called Feasts. Also a good choice of vegan food. (SB)
