About the FOLKDJ-L Listserv

FOLKDJ-L is an email list (a listserv) founded back in the 1990s. It is used by folk music DJs, artists, promoters, record labels and fans. The way it works is this: only members of FOLKDJ-L can post a message to the list. Moderators check messages to make sure they're legit (to avoid spam) and then they are forwarded to all members of the listserv. DJs post their playlists, artists and promoters announce new recordings and so on. The email traffic can be pretty heavy, a dozen or more messages per day.
