Folk music concerts in Seattle and nearby areas. The information is gathered from the public online calendars of venues. I am the host of "The Real Folk" on 91.3fm KBCS or streaming at KBCS.FM. The show airs every Sunday 6-8pm. You can listen to archived shows for up to two weeks after air date (also MixCloud). This calendar is scraped from the websites of local presenters and venues. Some venues don't have online calendars, or have ones that are too difficult to scrape. I include as many as I can. Comments?

Volkert Volkersz will present a concert of original songs and guitar instrumentals. Opening for Volkert will be “The Love Grubs,” consisting of Brian Hassler and Elise Dahlberg, who were members of the Snohomish High School Jam Club during the period Volkert advised the group from 2005 to 2016. He has been performing folk and Americana music since the 1960s and began writing songs at age 15. After a period of writer’s block, Volkert “found his voice” again in 2006 while performing at the former Wired & Unplugged Coffeehouse in Snohomish...

Goldy & Foss are a singer-songwriter duo based in the Seattle area. They perform original music and tasty cover tunes across multiple genres. Catch any of their live performances and you'll find them moving seamlessly from Folk to Americana, to Blues, to Rock, to Latin ballads. Yet it all manages to sound cohesive - "strangely familiar" as one fan called it - and all part of the experience. Their original compositions have memorable melodies that stand on their own, yielding an unmistakably musical foundation for his quirky and compelling lyrics. Goldy & Foss deliver musical hooks, deft arrangements, and lush horn parts that provide a "just right" touch of color to support the emotional core of each song.
